Update on Holiday Sales Events

Thanks to all who stopped by and made the ALT Christmas Craft Faire so much fun... it was a great day.

The next sale on the calender will take place the weekend following Thanksgiving. The Annual Christmas Crafts Fair is located at the Auburn fairgrounds and will be open 10 - 5 on Saturday the 26th, and 10 - 4 on Sunday the 27th.

The last sale of the season will be the Georgetown Health Care Auxiliary Christmas Bazaar on Saturday Dec. 3 at the Georgetown I.O.O.F. Hall. The bazaar opens its doors at 10am and closes at 4pm.

The soap shelves are full here and I am happy to take phone orders if there is something you need before or in between the sales. Happy holidays to everyone!

Holiday Sales!

We will be attending two holiday sales so far, come on out and stop by our booth to see what's new - there are a lot of new soap styles and fragrances for the holiday season. Put together a trio of soap, Glow bar and lotion bar, to create a gift that's perfect for nearly anyone on your list.

Farmer's Market

We will be attending the Garden Valley People's Mountain Market twice more before it closes for the season - Saturday Sept. 17 and Saturday Sept. 24. The 24th will not only offer the market as usual but also a harvest festival complete with pumpkin carving and pie contests!

We are in the process of scheduling a few holiday sales, so far we have confirmed our attendance at the ALT Craft Faire on Saturday Nov. 5 - hope to see you there!

Three new batches of "Glows" - my absolute favorite, can't-shower-without-it exfoliating skin conditioner. Three fragrances to choose from: Clean(blue, fresh clean cotton scent), Energy(white, citrus blend) and Relaxing (lavender, chamomile blend similar in fragrance to lavender)

Upcoming Event

We will be at the Bayley House sale on June 4th, our booth will be inside where it's nice and shady, so come by and pick up a few things to spoil yourself or someone special! If you are local to us you will want to watch for our flyers in the week or two prior to the sale.

The old mansion is not looking so fine these days, restoration is going slowly being funded mostly by donation. The sale helps by taking in funds from vendors as well as offering items related to the history of the area and the Bayley House.

What's Glowin' on

A new version of the Glow scrub bar... this time, a pure white bar softly scented with Osmanthus - a sophisticated, fresh and oceany fragrance. I refuse to shower without one!

Moss & Rocks

The theme this week... nature. The result:

A moss green bar with pebbles strewn across the top, in a rich fragrance of sagebrush and pinion leaf.

Bath Essentials

Here are the perfect companions to my soap -

First, shown in the small bowl in the photo below, a whipped shea that is a true body butter, not just a jarred cream - intensively moisturizing yet not thick and sticky. Made from unrefined shea butter (shown below in the red bowl) with all of its skin nourishing qualities, a tiny bit goes a long way and relieves ashy, itchy dryness.


Next, a sugar scrub that is not your average gloppy oil scrub. This one is specially formulated to turn creamy and lotion-like as it exfoliates. Rinses away, but leaves just the right amount of moisturizing behind.

Sea Pebbles

A trip to the coast, where the waves crashed onto a beach of time-worn pebbles in every shade imaginable, inspired this batch. Rich in shea butter, in the mellow herby fragrance of Chamomile, this one is as relaxing as an afternoon spent gazing out at the sea.

Had been wanting to try this design for a while, learned a lot in doing it. I'll be playing with this one again, I think!

These both are scented with Nag Champa, a soft incensey floral.

Lavender Kumquat

Here's my most popular fragrance, blended into a recipe of the Castile style. It contains half olive oil and half my favorite soaping oil, Rice Bran Oil. With the wonderful mild qualities of olive and the gentleness and foamy lather of rice bran, this bar has proven to be kind to my dry skin as well as a joy to use. Lavender and Kumquat together create a bright, sweet scent with a subtle floral note. Contains no colorant, the creamy ivory is the natural color of the soap.
